[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] ActiveSync Service not listed when Bluetooth pairing

I've followed the Assistant as well as the Knowledgebase article and can't
get ActiveSync to show up as a service when I pair my PPC-6700 to my Mac.

It worked the very fist time I paired it, but that was several hard resets
ago...

(I'm deleting the paired device from the handheld  & desktop before each
attempt.)

Other solutions?
