[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] Syncing new Verizon Motorola Q to Mac

I have a new Motorola Q that I am unable to sync.  I have a Bluetooth
connection that "sees" my computer, but when the device attempts to sync I
get a message telling me I have to install Active Sync on my computer.  I am
running MissingSync for Windows Mobile 2.5.1.  My device does not show in
the Missing Sync 'device window' when I open the application.  Would welcome
help figuring this out.  Thanks
