Sure, but it's not just that. There are several things I can do better
when using mailinglists. I can use *nix tools like grep making me have
an extremely powerfull search mechanisme. I can easily create archives
filtered in the way I want. I can use my own editor when composing a
message, not being bound to the limits of a "form" on a website. I can
choose the layout I want to see the message in rendered. I can... :)
