[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] Missing sync problem when restarting computer

I own a Dell Axim X30 running Windows Mobile 2003 SE and an iBook G4  
running 10.4.8. I just purchased MS 2.5, and synced everything  
between my handheld and computer just fine the first time. However,  
once I restart my computer and try to connect my handheld, MS brings  
up a screen that says device name conflict, and forces me to either  
enter a new name/pick a previous device name. Regardless of my  
selection, it runs like it's the first sync all over again. When it  
resyncs, it removes all calendars & tasks from the Axim, but contacts  
are ok. To get it to sync everything back to the Axim, I have to do a  
hard reset. I've tried uninstalling missing sync (thinking I could  
start over again from the start) and that didn't work either.

I have downloaded all updates for both my mac and missing sync. Any  
suggestions?
