[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] one dot shy of syncing

I'm having trouble getting the final dot and the ability to begin to
sync.

I've followed the instruction for installation and pairing and I'm
able to get my Mac and T-Mobile MDA to pair up but when I chose
"connect with BT" I get an immediate popup on my MDA stating " Cannot
connect using BT to a PC that supports ActiveSync." and then asks if
I would like to create a partnership with a different PC. If I
select yes, my existing paired computer shows up in the list of
partnered machines. If I select it get a screen that allows me to
refresh the connection with a check mark next to the ActiveSync
services. When I hit refresh the dots begin to show up but I only get
4 of them and when the MDA finishes the refresh it shows the
ActiveSync box unchecked. Below is the resulting log.

MacBook Pro 15" 2Ghz with MacOS 10.4.6 and a T-Mobile WM 5.1.70
