Can I ask a real question about the Missing Sync Alpha?

I'm having an issue connecting my Treo 700 to my powerbook.  I have  
followed the steps listed on the site and have been able to connect  
for a short time or partially but the Treo doesn't mount and I am not  
able to sync.  I have restarted my computer and done soft resets on  
the phone but it just doesn't want to stay fully connected.  If  
anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
