[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] Successful sync with Dell Axim X51v

After several failed attempts with previous builds, I was able to connect my
Dell Axim X51v to my iMac G5, using 2.5a10, and successfully sync calendar,
contacts and time.

At first I did what several people found to be helpful:
 1. completely uninstalled MS 2.5a9. Used uninstall app in MS folder, plus
did a search any other MS files and removed these.
 2. Rebooted.
 3. Removed the blued.plist file, following instructions from your site.
 4. Rebooted.
 5. In the meantime I removed all connections from my Axim and did a soft
reset.
 6. Reinstalled MS, using 2.5a10
 7. Rebooted.
 8. Tried to connect my Axim to my iMac G5.
 9. I got to the ActiveSync services, and even to all 5 dots (I got there
with the previous build as well), but then
10. MS stopped with the message (on the little logo, just above the dots):
device ignored

Then I decided to not just disable my firewall (NetBarrier X4) but
completely remove it. Also I disabled Little Snitch, which I hadn't done
before because I figured I didn't need to. Don't ask ....

Then I tried again. At first my device was ignored again. An immediate retry
led to the installation of the MS cab file. This failed the first time, but
succeeded the second time. Then I reset my device and paired. First try:
device ignored. Second try, immediately following the first: full connect
and a flawless sync of diary, contacts and time.

To me the complete absence of any software that tries to control
TCP/IP-traffic (removal of NetBarrier AND Little Snitch) seemed to be
critical. I have been able to sync without any problems for a few days now,
although I need to reboot my iMac/soft reset my Axim before I can try
another sync.

Hope this helps.
