[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] When Offline...

An Internet connection is NOT required to connect and sync a device
using The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. An Internet connection is
required to register the software and to use the "Internet Sharing"
feature.

However, the type of connection between the device and your Mac is a
network type of connection. If you have Firewall software enabled
(included Apple's built-in firewall) you must open ports 5678 and
5679 to allow communication between the Mac and your device. For
instructions on how to open these ports if using the built-in Apple
firewall software visit the KB article at http://www.markspace.com/
support/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=17.

If you continue to see problems when you disconnect the Mac from the
internet, please let us know. That shouldn't be happening and would
be a bug.
