That is not normal. You may want to try a SOFT reset of your device.  
It's possible that the device is NOT recogonizing the new record as a  
change and then on the next sync it is getting deleted.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would our Support folks to see  
your log file to help figure out what's going on. You can submit a  
support request using the form at http://www.markspace.com/support/ 
request_windowsmobile.html. Be sure to include the log file, which is  
found at ~/Library/Logs/MissingSync for Windows Mobile.log.
