Hi Peter,
The PDA-N requires the USB Switch application so you can connect via
Serial USB. Please refer to this useful information where you can
also download a version of the USB Switch for your device. I
downloaded and installed it today, after seeing only one dot for my
USB connection.

Use Bluetooth to install the file or copy the file to an SD card and
then insert that card in your PDA-N and open the file.
If you still cannot connect, after enabling the Serial connection in
the USB Switch application, try turning off all connection types in
The Missing Sync toolbar and then turning them back on. That worked
for me.
