I can sync via blue tooth with my Mac about 5% of the time without hassle and 10% of the time with hassle. Otherwise, I can't sync. I also noticed that my USB sync isn't working 20% of the time. It's annoying to say the least, I'm wondering if tis is just because it's a beta version. Also, I seem to only have the option to install programs on internal storage. Apparently my 2gb mini SD card isn't working either on Mac. I can put things onto it on a Windows machine and copy and place things on it from within the phone, but I cannot install to it. That should show us any errors in connection you are having. We're finding USB to be very reliable (a bit slow). Are you connecting to your device through a hub? As for installation of programs, is your SD card listed in the popup at all? If it isn't, it means that the device is not telling us there is a SD card inserted and available for us. We make a call to a function on the device that returns the storage volumes. Please let us know more information, and report problems to b On Jul 2, 2006, at 3:30 AM, Jessica Baxter wrote: > I am running The Missing Sync 2.5 with my Cingular 8125 WM5. Complete release notes are available via the Testing page (linked below). Mark/Space strongly cautions customers that this is pre-release software; it is not quite feature-complete or bug-free. All testers should make backups before installing this release. Complete details on the 2.5b2 build, including requirements, bug report form access, known issues, release notes and download links, are accessible from the Testing page on the Mark/Space website. http://www.markspace.com/testing/ Discussion of issues related to pre-release builds takes place on a different list, missing-sync-winmobile-testing. You can join the testing list from the Testing page linked above. As for the events that are failing (and giving the error), the log explains those. Other events should be on the device. To clear up the issue with contacts, Launch iSync, go to the iSync preferences and choose Reset Sync History. This will force Address Book to send all its data to the Sync Services system, so that we can pull those out on the next sync. b On Jul 7, 2006, at 1:20 AM, Peter F. Just to confirm what I said in the mailings -- there's loads of memory, I've tried all the variants of overwriting, I always get the same thing -- tasks and contacts sync OK, calendar errors with an "index beyond bounds" error. Having been reassured by you that my calendars worked when you tried them I decided to "go the whole hog" and completely clear my XDA before trying to sync with the new revision. I therefore returned it to factory default settings (using the option from the system page). I also deleted the application on my Mac and all items relating to MissingSync in my Library and the system Library too. Interestingly, when I connected my phone to the mac (via USB) I received a prompt on the Mac that I would have to acknowledge software installation of a cab on the phone. However the phone just said it had installed the cab (no acknowledgement required). More interestingly the display on Missing Sync shows that my Device is a Pocket_PC -- which it's not: it's a Windows 5 phone -- then again, that may not matter. Contacts synced across fine (although without pictures, but what do you expect?). Calendar Events? Nope! The usual -- NSRangeException *** -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (0) beyond bounds (0) Calendar Tasks: synced fine, just like the contacts. So, there's still something wrong even with the latest version and a completely cleared phone. Any hints or suggestions (other than running Windows, Outlook and ActiveSync in a virtual machine on my Mac) would be gratefully received.
