First, are you running the 2.0.2 version.
Second, hold down command-open and select Preferences.
Turn on PIM Logging if it's not already on.
Now do a sync
Now reconnect the device
Now mount the device
Now copy the file MissingSyncLog.txt from the device to your Mac.
Send me that file to support, and ask them to make sure it gets
directed to me.

I'm suspecting you have an event on the device which is causing our
device code a problem. The log file should let us find that event.
Once we've found it, hopefully you can give us details on it, so we
can reproduce this problem and get it resolved.
