[missing-sync-winmobile-talk] Cannot copy from mounted device

I have the same problem. Since copying files is the MAIN reason I need
Missing Sync, not being able to copy creates a great loss.
First, I do not see "MissingSyncLog.txt" at the device root (also a Cingular
8125). Going to Program Files/MissingSync and either dragging or CMD + C
and V (the file "Missing Sync.edb") gives the error message:
"The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "" could not
be read or written. (Error code -36)"
I get the same whenever I try to copy Word Files from the 8125 to the G4
(Titanium, Powerbook). If I open a Word file from the 8125 and try to save
it to the Desktop I get a "corrupt file" and a "rescued file". Not good!
So far the only way I can safely get files to and from the 8125 is to email
them. <arghh!> Old Missing Sync had no problem copying files...
