Hi Johannes,
do you remember my prophecy?
When I had allowed to change my 600 contacts on the computer, every
"Company" entry has been removed, making the data useless for me.
At the moment I do only one way syncs from the Mac to the MDA from
time to time, by:
1. saving the address book and the calendars on the Mac
2. leaving an empty calendar and removing all contacts on the Mac
3. clearing the MDA by a double (because of still present
communication errors) sync
4. restoring the Mac data
5. doing another double sync
This way is the only one that works reliable currently. But you can
imagine, that it is dangerous because of the manual transfer of new
data from the MDA to the Mac. And it's a lot of ugly manual work,
that should be done by MS...
@Ken:
I think here are some very ambitious people, who want to help you fix
all these MS problems. Do you store their reports and hints and e.g.
pocket PC types? My impression is that Mark/Space does any answering
individually, so that every configuration has to be described again
and again. With a simple data base Catherine and you wouldn't have
asked me twice to try 2.02 beta, as I had told you that 2.02 didn't
solve any problem here.
In case you want MY configuration:
MDA III, t-mobile, latest update.
Additional software: Resco File Explorer, TomeRaider3
Apple Mac G5 1.6 GHz, Tiger 10.4.2, 1GB
Collected issues: Communication errors at every second sync, time
shifted events, multiple events, lost Company marks, double contacts,
no bluetooth sync. Everything appears after hard reset and with new
calendars and address book, too. MissingSync Utility didn't help.
Regards,
Matthias
