If you got this dialog asking if the device was new or previously synched,
that would suggest that either the device name changed, was hard reset, or
the Mac name changed.

In that case Mission Sync will do a slow sync, which compares each record.
This can be slow and may result in what I'll call low level conflicts. For
example a record with a birthday doesn't show a time associated with it, but
there is in the actual data. That can cause a conflict even though you never
see it. There are a few other instances.

So, as I see one other customer replied, you should be able to go ahead with
the sync and some conflicts may be found, but you should not loose any data.
