I actually think that you are overly skeptical regards the potential 
problems. As a .MAC account is just a repository with a webdav interface, 
complexities only arrise due to the number of devices involved, but 
applications etc are pretty much not the issue. I am also not thinking about 
replacing any software, i consider the usage scenario to be quite different. 
But, given the response on the list, i can see that this is just for my own 
pleasure, and i will be the judge if it's worth the time and effort or not. 

And, just because it beats anything else out there, does not mean you should 
or could not try to create something better. Otherwise, we would all still 
be using CP/M (ok, mainframes with little punchcards were before my time).
