I've reinstalled the earlier update since the beta hijacked my setting
and connected me to Entourage instead of iCal despite unchecking the
Entourage button.  I blew away all the plists (the install script
doesn't completely eliminate all the files associated with MarkSpace).

If I hear that people are having fewer problems as time goes on, I'll
be happy to try new versions, but I know that I have to reboot the Mac
between syncs and that the latest full release isn't going to play
games and switch me over to Entourage and will also sync with
mail.app, which the new beta wasn't doing.

I'm not getting paid enough to be a beta tester of a program I paid
for.  If they were refunding money for those of us having beta program
type problems, I'd be a bit more enthusiastic about trying to help
them if I had time.  I've got a novel due Sept. 28 and then I start
teaching again.

I can use the current release as it is if I reboot before syncing. 
They haven't fixed that and I don't use Entourage so having this
program hijack my data and hand it to Entourage was really not what I
wanted.

Money back time, dudes, if you want happy beta testers.
