I am assuming this will not work without a purchased serial number?

I was on the beta list and only have a beta serial number so I don't think
this is an option just yet.

Yup, I only plug my phone directly into the computer.

I am using Intego's NetBarrier and for the life of me I cannot see how to
open a port.

HOWEVER I have turned all protection off and still no joy.

Yup I have only tried it when I DO have an internet connection.
