thanks for the follow-up reply.

1)
your recent responses have focused mainly on the problem subsequent to SP2 upgrade.
and your comments about it sounded fairly discrete and well-defined.  
i DID think your assessment of that change was on-target.
    do you suppose one could undo  or  remove an SP2 upgrade once done ?

in my comments, i was really thinking or commenting on the variety of several
  other data handling anomalies encountered that were felt to be Entourage SDk related
  yet that "did not seem to"  or  "have not been reported" to manifest other than
  during sync's with MSWM 2.02bx.
