Syncing with Entourage SP2 Update

I've been reading these threads and wondering why I don't have this problem.
I just realized that I do not enter birthdays on the contact cards
themselves. I just set up recurring events on the calendar just like any
other appointment. I did this because it's easier to transfer between
programs and syncs more reliably between different programs and devices.
Often times, using "custom" fields on contacts is more trouble than it's
worth when you're trying to be as compatible and as complete as possible
when syncing amongst multiple programs, devices, and platforms.
Just FYI, if my solution will work for anyone else in light of this bug.
