 Yes, it can be done.  
 I followed that precise migration path.  
 it requires several steps;  
     kind of like crossing a stream by hopping from one stone to another.

first, go through your existing PIM data and 
       CLEAN UP YOUR ENTRIES, especially the Calendar.
refer to the past posts to this list and mark/space's info on known problems.
 (e.g.  events MUST have Start and Stop dates, certain recurring events are probs, etc)
you must also be cognizant of which Palm handheld app's you have, 
   Contacts vs AddressBook,  Tasks vs ToDo's, etc  since behave differently.
there is info available online to walk you thru this.


next, sync Palm Desktop to Palm Handheld - using HotSync.
then, sync Palm Handheld to Entourage -  using Microsoft's Handheld Sync.
now,  sync Entourage to ... WinMobile
