I'm one of the rare ones not having synch problems (although I will 
say that my isynch log shows resynching of all my 
birthday/anniversary and other one day events nearly every time I 
synch; fortunately they don't shift in time).

As for getting .CAB files from .exe files....  If you run the .exe 
files through Virtual PC, the installers usually put a .CAB file into 
a directory on the PC.  I can't recall exactly and am not in front of 
Virtual PC at the moment, but I believe they end up in the 
ActiveSynch directory hierarchy.  You can do a find in Virtual PC to 
look for *.cab.  These .CAB files can then be transferred to a mac 
folder and handled by Myssing Sink directly on the mac side of things.
