Take a look at

SyncServices.html

especially the part:

Sync Services doesn't respond very gracefully if its data directory  
goes missing (~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/Local). If  
you manually remove the data directory, make sure you first quit all  
applications that are using Sync Services. Here's a quick check list:
quit all running applications that use Sync Services. Don't forget  
System Preferences
/usr/bin/killall SyncServer syncuid
/usr/bin/killall SystemUIServer if you have the Sync menuling enabled

At least THIS one  does not seem to be a MS problem...

And other than that MS refuses to sync reoccurring events, it works  
fine here... But granted, that IS a major flaw!
