[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] ical making duplicate calendar file

I saw it earlier in the archives, and can confirm this: the ical sync
mechanism is making duplicate calendar files.
As I understand it, this happens when the ical file is read-only to the
sync mechanism.
In my case, the duplicated calendar is one where I subscribed to a
published calendar. Other calendars (and that includes published
calendars) are not duplicated.
This even happens when I am not asking the programme to sync with that
particular calendar. The duplicated calendar can not be seen immediately
by the "iCal Settings dialog", but it can after restarting the sync
application.
Removing the duplicated calendar in iCal is picked up immediately by the
sync application.
I conducted these tests with a factory reset pocketpc (is there a way to
complete erase the pocketpc calendar without doing that?).
During my first tests, I even saw the sync mechanism write into and erase
from the subscribed calendar - it is supposed to know this is a read only
calendar - the previous version of missing sync recognised this situation.
I then enabled a read/write calender in the settings - synced - and it
didn't get any data into the pocketpc.
I wrote a test event in iCal - synced - no data transferred.
I changed the settings to "All Calendars" - synced - no data transferred.
I had a look at the log:
7/30/05 13:49:11 MSUI: iCal: NSInvalidArgumentException
[ISDRecordIdMapper replaceLocalId:withLocalId:]: you can't change the
local id com.apple.syncservices:A65F7126-C716-43B9-88FA-C0112A6CD9E5 ->
com.markspace.msppc.event_calendar_petershp: both the new and old ids are
already mapped to global ids
This happens during every sync I've made.
Apparantly the syncManager is TELLING your application that something is
very wrong - which you seem to ignore.
I hope this helps a bit in ironing the bugs out. Hope to see a new version
soon, because this one is'nt very useable to me.
BTW: the Address Book syncs OK.
