[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] iCal Sync Issues

I backed up my iCal (thankfully) before my first sync.  I answered  
the allow question and check the clear device option.  Upon sync m-s- 
p supposedly downloaded 1200+ iCal records and then asked the allow  
question again.  This time it only synced a handful of records and  
went to "idle" status.  My iCal entries were all cleared and there  
were only a few entries in my Dell Axim X30.  I restored my backup  
(and was I glad I had it) and my iCal returned to pre-sync state.   
Now when I sync, only 16 records go across (X30 to desktop I think)  
and I get 16 records in conflict.  What's up with this?
