Wierd,
I bought a Verizon XV6600 pocket PC in January 2005, and started
using missing sync for pocket PC right away with ZERO problems. I
waited to upgrade to Tiger until Missing Sync for Windows Mobile came
out because integration with my phone was vital. So, when Windows
Mobile version was finally released I bought an iMac G5, migrated all
my data and apps from my cloned powerbook backup, verified it all
worked (except havng to downgrade virex from 7.5 to 7.2), and paid
the $20 to upgrade Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. BTW, Missing
sync for Palm still works with my Zire 72 and Fossil Wrist PDA fine
without a hitch.
After upgrading my old Missing Sync 1.04 to the new version 2, I
initially I was unable to connect; so I removed Missing Sync 2 and
reinstalled it, and everything worked as promised. I just sync'd
again last night without any errors or crashes.
My only issue is I am having trouble doing a bluetooth sync, but USB
works fine. I have made three different BT connection shortcuts on
the pocket pc for either active sync, serial connection and missing
sync connection (this last was created for me), and while they all
activate the BT connection icon in the Mac menubar, missing sync
never jumps in and takes over.
I will try the trick mentioned where I create a BT partnership with
the mac from the phone side and see if that helps. Otherwise I am
very happy with it..
