OK, I have opened the other port as well. It is possible that I sent the
wrong log (after I closed the Firewall again). Here is a new one (very
long, so I [snip]ed out the parts where it just lists the same kind of 
data). You can see that it sends the addresses to the device, but
stops after 450 (the number is different each time). After that it seems
to simply time out, for whatever reason. iCal never syncs at all.

I am still trying this channel, as the official support email has not
resulted in any reply so far.
