[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] Re: Possible Temporary Remedy
toiCalproblem After running into the same problems when syncing iCal
and
only getting a few entrys to my PPC, I took a look at the log-file; It
seem as if MS is running into an iCal-entry,
wich causes it to stumble and
any entrys after this will just result in an error ("Unable to
write...").
That way I only got a few entrys onto my PPC (285). So I enabled just a
few of my calendars fpr syncing in MS an found, that while some worked
flawlessly, others got MS to produce the error mentioned above. Whitout
the faulty calendars enabled,
I got all entrys (900+) onto my PPC. I'm not
sure, but it seems as if calendars without reoccouring events syncs fine,
while those with e.g. birthdays or my workscedule refuses to sync. BTW,
I had to trash the ~/Libraray/Application
Support/SyncServices/local-Folder
to force MS and iCal to delete the calendars on the PPC after the
initial
setup... Any other ideas, as if how to get al calendars to sync? Best

It's possible that some of your events are damaged or include setting
options that cause Missing Sync to fail. For example events longer than 30
days do not sync to the device because the device cannot handle a 30 day
long event. If this happens for a known event type we report that in the
log.
It's possible that there is another type of event we are not handling
properly, or the event is damaged. We've seen damaged iCal events, even
though they show up in iCal the data in the .ics file has conflicting
information.
If you get an "Unable to write..." error like the one above, look for the
name of the record in the same error text and try editing or deleting that
event. Please report these types of problems and send us your log files and
when possible backups of your data files. If we can reproduce the problem,
I'm confident that we can fix it.
