I suspect that in a previous sync there was a record that caused a failure
and left your device in this 'Can't read records from device state.'
Restarting your mac AND doing a SOFT reset of the device will likely put the
device in a readable state again, but you will want to first review the
Missing Sync log (Command-L or view the file at ~/Library/Logs/MissingSync
for Windows Mobile.log). Search for the word "error." If there was a problem
synching a particular record the subject of that record should be mentioned
and maybe even a reason that record could not sync. For example events
longer than 30 days cannot sync and will stop the sync. Edit the record or
delete the record and try to sync again.
If this does not help please report the problem using the form at
http://www.markspace.com/support/request_windowsmobile.html. Be sure to
include your log file.
