Hei everyone.
Ok I have been using Missing Sync Pocket PC edition for a while now. I
thought I'd made a sum-up of what's been working for me, and what
hasn't :
Functional :
- Syncing via iSync (USB or Bluetooth). This works ok. The PPC was
recognized instantly. However it syncs everything all the time not only
what has changed, and there are issue with iCal (repetitive events
/times...).
- Mounting / File exchange: Works too. However it's a pain with big
files. Sometimes it crashes, sometimes it does not!
- iPhoto Export : Works great. Never had any trouble with that.
- iTunes Export : Works ok. Again, tendency to make the app crash when
transferring big files.
- Installing Apps : Works fine (for.cab files only of course).
Not Functional :
- Emails
- AvantGo
- Internet Surfing.
Same problem for those 3, I cannot connect to the net.
By the way, tell me if I forgot something here :
My setup first : Wireless Router (All ports out open, All in closed) /
Cube 450Mhz / Mac OS X.3.8 / NetBarrier X.3.5
Internet Sharing is active (Firewire only)
Port 5679 open in NetBarrier (Otherwise, missing Sync simply does not
recognize the PPC)
When I open Myssing Sync's log, the PPC is receiving an IP adress
192.168.206.206 (Checked also with vxIPConfig utility). This adress was
connecting to port 7438 (blocked by NetBarrier)
So now Port 7438 is open in NetBarrier.
I even tried deactivating NetBarrier. No Change.
Is there something missing. What about your experiences of this
software? Did you got the same problems than I did?
