 From the Press Release:
"In addition to new features, The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile has 
at its core a new plugin architecture that gives third-party developers 
the ability to create sync plugins for their own applications. "Now, 
Mac developers can easily add support for Windows Mobile Pocket PC and 
Smartphone devices to their Mac applications," said Ken Freeman, 
Mark/Space's director of product management. "To help increase the use 
of Windows Mobile devices in the Mac market, we're working with 
developers to grow the number of Mac-friendly applications that can 
synchronize information with these devices."

I don't know or can't comment on particular products, but it certainly 
possible for 3rd parties to create Plugins which sync desktop 
applications with device applications.
