I have been having problems with this as well.
I believe my device is a Pocket PC 2000 device. I do not see some of
the options outlined in the pdf, most noticeably the advanced tab
mentioned it #2.
Avantgo sync works, email works. I have tried to go directly to IP
addresses of sites, even sites hosted on the host computer
I am new to the world of PDA's on the MAC and would really like to get
this to work.
Step 3: On the Pocket PC device, set Handheld Connection Settings
1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections
2. Tap the Advanced tab and then tap the Select Networks button
3. In the first pop-up choose "My Work Network" then tap the Edit
button. (NOTE: If you don't want to use the "MyWork Network" profile
you can make new network. Tap the New button. Enter a name, then tap
"ok" ).
4. Tap the Proxy Settings tab
5. Check the box for "This network connects to the Internet", then tap
"ok", then tap "ok" again.
6. Close the Connection settings window
7. Launch Internet Explorer on the handheld and enter a URL
