Paul:

first -- thank u for your comprehensive answer.
second -- i apoligeze very much to u and others, who have been
troubled because of my foolish behavior --- the case was, that i
submitted my question to "support" and expected an answer fm somebody
at support and got confused about the mail, i got fm the
discussion-group -- very stupid of me --- sorry again.

the case is: i try to connect a mac os10.3 with a hp 2210 pda using
missing sync. if i use usb physical connetion everything works ok.
if i try to use bluetooth (using a d-link adapter dbt-120) i am in
trouble.
i can make the mac application "arcive exchange" work ok with
bluetooth. ("arcive exchange" might not be the exact word, because it
is a translation fm danish, but something close to that). during that,
the bluetooth preferences knows my pda, is declared "connected: yes".

i have tried the procedure on the pda, which you describe. are you sure
to chose the "activesync" option ????? i have tried, but with no
success.

the missing sync preference "enable bluetooth syncing" is checked.

the troubles might have something to do with choice of com ports
!!!????

thanks again for your answer.
