[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] Missing Sync on Two macs

a while back i asked about installing missing sync on two computers.  
the response i received was to simply install it on both computers and 
it should work.  since then, i haven't had a chance to mess with it.  
but today, i noticed at reboot that indeed the daemon is running.  when 
i set my ipaq in the cradle on the second computer it makes  the 
"disconnecting" wind down active sync sound.  also, i know that when i 
installed it on the second computer, it never asked me to register.

help.
