[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] I'm getting immediate disconnects -
but this is not the same as in the FAQ

Check your manual for hard reset or full reset instructions. On my iPaq
I hold down the calendar and task buttons (they are the two most
outside buttons out of the four main buttons), while then holding the
reset pin in the back with the stylus until the screen fades. It's
important you hold all the buttons and pin reset until the screen
fades. Then you can let go, hit the reset pin once again and now you
have a clean device.
