[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] I'm getting immediate disconnects - but this is not the same as in the FAQ

Hi all,

Let me say first that this product did work perfectly for me to start
with, it's a very nice piece of software. I work in the Internet
industry, and I have a good idea that it is doing some very hairy
things trying to set up a ppp connection through usb or bluetooth, and
successfully work with different ppcs, different remote hardware, two
possible transports, multiple patches of MacOS, and many different
possible variations of the IP stack.

Anyway. Mine stopped working. Please help!

I am currently getting in the log file...

I get the same symptoms on USB or bluetooth. I've actually made things
a little worse in all my desperate attempted to make things work, I
think. I've reinstalled, removed preferences, removed entry in iSync -
and generally messed around to no avail. I can telnet to port 5679 on
localhost, so I know it is listening.

I cannot think if I have made any relevant changes to the Mac. I do
know that I have a habit of allowing the iPaq batteries to run down.
(I'm afraid to say that I loved my Newton. The iPaq is rather unloved,
with its lame pen based editing and pitiful built in battery life.)

Thanks for any help!!
Greg H.
