[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] 802.11 Sync Setup?

After days of beating my head against this particular brick wall I got it to
work this morning.

I did a hard reset of my PDA wiping everything, then I plugged in the USB
cradle and did a first sync with the Mac to establish a Parnership. Then I
removed it from the cradle and after making sure I had a working WiFi
connection to the network I ran activesync and it connected just fine. The
only minor problem I have now is that if the WiFi connection drops while the
PDA is connected to the Mac I have to switch the PDA WiFi off and on again
before it I can re-establish the connection to the Mac.

I had tried all of these these things before with no success, the only
difference this time was that I did a hard reset of the PDA and started from
scratch.

PocketPC 2003 doesn't handle syncing to a PowerBook/iBook if you move the
laptop between networks, it seems to assume that the IP address of the Mac
will not change.

What it needs is a location manager style application/utility.

Good Luck!
