75% of distro exe's are just self extracting exe's (read lz 
compressed). The one's that aren't are installshield/wise installers 
that use signed compression anyway (there cab files are not what your 
thinking). What that means is that most of the exe's will just unzip 
with StuffitExpander. The rest will *always* have to be run on a PC.  
Try opening w/ stuffit.
