You could backup your PPC data to a card, then do a HARD reset and
import the data back without the PIM data. Not sure if your device (O2
XDA) came with a backup program. I've used PocketBackup Plus from
Sprite Software (www.spritesoftware.com). There might be specific files
you could delete on the handheld to delete the PIM data, but I'm not
sure what they might be.
The duplicates are being generated by the backup conduit. Follow these
steps to delete the backup conduit data on the Mac.
1) Launch Terminal and type or paste the following line, then hit enter:
rm -rf /Library/Application Support/SyncServices
2) Delete the contents of the "LastSync Data" folders
Home/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/LastSync Data/
3) Backup your data first to an SD card. Perform a Hard Reset of your
handheld to delete all the existing content. Then import everything
back except the PIM data.
4) Because of step 1 you'll have to add the Pocket PC back to the
device list in iSync, then connect and sync.
