[missing-sync-pocketpc-talk] Syncing with Outlook (on PC)

This must have to do with mapping the fields available which is different between iCal/iSync and Outlook - this is the same reason why categories are not transported across - iCal does not support them Outlook does - hence difficult to map directly. MS can give you more details but it seem the mapping corrupts the database and leads to the observed errors - records become corrupt. This does not happen every time so it something in the Outlook record which the Mac side does not like. The only solution I ever found, when I was doing this double sync, was to delete the whole database on the PPC and then resync from Mac - that is use Mac as master and never change things in Outlook and avoid too many changes on PPC particularly like adding categories to any record - this has caused me no end of pain as I use Outlook with Exchange server at work (company policy, due to 'security') and Mac at home.

On a side issue it would be nice to be able to sync notes - even if done via text file on Mac.
