This will be the last posting I make on this issue. Any future ones will be
more constructive. You can ban me from this list but that will solve nothing
and only make me more vocal elsewhere. Please do not rest on your laurels - you
were the best program choice at one point but competition has a habit of
spurring on all vendors.
Vocal people are the ones that get problems fixed - if we did not speak up
then you'd assume the garden was full of roses. Its not just the Panther issue -
this is the latest of many 'minor' issues. Credit due those that can be
reproduced are fixed relatively quickly. I am beginning to be reminded of the
original SW I tried with no end of 'small issues'. This is just a plug in program
to help me use my selected PDA - it is not a key application and anything that
impacts my key application usage is a real pain. Also early on I spent much
of my own time 'testing' the SW for you. I also have learnt (adopting the
program early) to work around those I know and those I cannot reproduce.
I will only post a bug if I can reproduce it myself and therefore speed a
solution - one reason I have not posted any recently - those which I have seen I
cannot reproduce (sometime not certain if iCal or MS related) have been
reported on this list by others with the same data set I have.
While I understand no dates where promised on Entourage, it was inferred that
this would come (based on the competition at the time and a need I brought MS
early and have lived with iCal since, not my first SW choice and a waste of a
large part of Office X capability). It now seems far off (or no one will
commit to a date so I assume it is), which would not be an issue if the
functionality with iCal was more compatible with me - I also know this is not totally a
Missing Sync issue but it has restricted the way I use my PCP. The other
vendor has seem to fix some of the most of the issues, no doubt due to your
competition. Old habits die hard and having used PCP since the early days I often
find myself recovering backups due to MS and iCal 'failures'. I also note
(having used it for a while on a Sony PDA) that you use another program not iCal
for Palms synching.
