And how can we give you the device and USB ID if it's not connected to 
the computer? I mean, I want Missing Sync so I can connect it, if I 
could already, I wouldn't need it. :P

There's really no way around it, if there's too many different brands 
of PocketPC for you to know if they're all supported, and no one's 
going to buy software on a "maybe." This would be the same mistake 
Pocketmac made when they started out. I hope it's not going in that 
direction... :(
