It is absolutely wrong that any duplicates will be seen on a PC or a PPC as ._ files when written to storage cards or PCMCIA card hard drives formatted as FAT12 or FAT16 while adding data (PDF MP3 JPG etc) to those cards with OSX by using USB reader or directly with an adaptor in a PCMCIA card slot.
