I am not familiar with the technical details of how PocketMac does a sync,
and what your definition of a "true sync" product is, however much like
Palm OS sync we have the concept of a "fast sync" and a "slow sync". I
think a "slow sync" is what you describe above (where a test has to be made
against each record, instead of just ones known to have changed since the
last sync).
