[missing-sync-palmos-talk] iCal crashing after upgrade to 5.1.1

Has anyone else had this problem?  I downloaded and upgraded  
MissingSync yesterday.  Everything seems to sync fine.  The only  
problem is that I can't get iCal to stay open for more than about 15  
seconds.  Then it "closes unexpectedly".  I'm guessing it is a sync  
services issue, but am not smart enough to really know.  I'd love  
your thoughts.
