Scott - I think I like the simplicity of the Palm's Send to Handheld. What
I don't get is, that if I go into iPhoto and use the Export of a photo to
the handheld, it will send that photo to the handheld in about the size
range of 640 x 447 or so (I check this size in Splashphoto in list view).
When viewed in the Palm viewer its perfect. When viewed in Splashphoto
there is this little black area at the top and the bottom.
I have to sync the Markspace photo and set the width to 640 and the height
to 480. When I view this on the handheld holding it in a horizontal view
the picture in the Palm viewer fills the screen perfectly. In the
Splashphoto viewer it has the black area in the top and the bottom. If I
use the amount Splashdata support told me to use 480 x 320 it looks fine in
Splasphoto (however with the black at the top and the bottom) but in no way
looks right in the Palm viewer.
Frankly I prefer the Palm viewer as the picture just displays nicer
especially when your running a slideshow. I just don't know if I create
albums in the Palm viewer whether it will break the sync link between
Missing Sync and the handheld as in the Palm viewer the album's name is
Markspace.
Before I got Missing Sync I used to send tons of photos to my Handheld
using the Palm's Send to Handheld so I could show people my pictures. There
was nothing to it. With Missing Sync though, this process has become
extremely confusing and just isn't as clean. Your approach should be
simpler and cleaner - like Palm's approach. I suppose if I just forget
about Splashphoto and use the iPhoto Export to handheld I'd have exactly
what I had with the Palm's Send to Handheld. Then I'd just go into the Palm
handheld and set the names of my album's. However, I kind of wasted my
money on the Splashphoto desktop.
