OK - I entered in Missing Sync 480 x 320. In Splashphoto, it placed the
pictures the same as 640 x 480 however there is still the black border at
the top and bottom. If I turn captions on it fills in information exactly
into this space. If I turn captions off, it keeps those black borders where
the caption info is. So when I run the slideshow it has these black
borders, which doesn't look great.
However, the big problem is, where I go to the Palm viewer the photos don't
look right at all. They don't fill the screen at all. When you use Palm's
send to handheld and look at a photo using this technique, in Splashphoto,
in list view, it gives you a size of 640 x 480 consistently. If I enter in
Missing Sync 640 x 480, I get the same results above in Splashphoto but in
the Palm viewer it fills the screen perfectly. When the slideshow runs the
screen is nicely filled.
Is the screen in Splashphoto not filling due to this area for captions. I
would think with captions turned off it should fill the screen.
I looked in the Splashphoto desktop and it says resize to 320 x 480. This
definitely does not work. However, I believe Missing Sync overrides this
setting as you set Missing Sync and on the first sync it puts the photos on
the handheld. Then on the second sync it moves the photos to Splashphoto
desktop. Finally, I choose a category for the photos, sync and it puts the
photos on the handheld in that category.
Let me know if that little black area at each end of the photos is just a
result of the captions for space for it and when you turn it off it leaves
that black space yet doesn't present the captions information.
