Scott - when I was looking at the handheld version of Splashphoto
under preferences, there is an item called caption preferences. If
you turn this on, in that black space I mentioned it fills in the
details that you have ticked for the photo in both the top black area
and bottom black area when you look at an individual photo. However
when you run slide show, it maintains that black area but doesn't
show the caption details. If you turn off caption details, the black
area remains but there is now no information displayed. I think
Splashphoto should fill this area in with the picture when caption is
off but it doesn't seem to.
If you go to the Palm viewer, the screen is fully filled in and when
you run slide show it is fully filled in. I noticed in the Palm
viewer the photos are listed under the Album Markspace. I'm not sure
what would happen if I reassign these photos to the proper name for
them in the Palm viewers Album Manager. Would this loose the link to
the Markspace sync.
The Splashphoto viewer is easier for the management of photos using
its corresponding desktop but it certainly doesn't display the photos
as nicely as the Palm viewer. I'll wait to hear back from Splashdata
and see if they give me an explanation for this. But I suspect it has
to do with this Caption preferences option and that is why the photo
isn't filling the screen.
