Scott - I sent this query to Splashdata tech support as I really
don't understand what you're trying to explain to me. I just don't
know how I'd crop these photos or even where to start. it just
doesn't make sense.
-------
I bought Missing Sync for my Palm. They include Splashphoto but I
decided to buy the full Desktop version for a special price from
Missing Sync. When I sync photos to the TX, I set a ratio of 640 x
480 as that is what the Palm Desktop would send them over as using
Send to Handheld. When they come in from Missing Sync, if I view the
photos using the Palm viewer they look perfect and fill the screen.
When I view the photos using Splashphoto they don't properly fill the
screen. The top and bottom have a small black space before you get to
the white Splashphoto outline. Missing Sync says I need to crop the
pictures to come out with the same aspect ratio as they sync over but
I really have no idea what they are talking about. The photos look
perfect in the Palm viewer. I asked Missing Sync if I should choose a
different setting on my Cybershot. I'm shooting at 3 megapixels,
which is plenty for the size that I'm viewing. However the camera
supports 7.2, 3:2 (I don't know what this means) 5, 3, 1 and VGA
mode. I asked Missing Sync if the 3:2 setting would solve the
problem. The reason I like using Splashphoto is that I can easily
categorize photos on the desktop and sync them to the Palm. This is
easier than setting up albums in the Palm viewer. However, it is the
Palm viewer that is allowing me to see the photos as they should appear.
Do you have any idea what might be wrong here?
