[missing-sync-palmos-talk] upgrading from Treo 650 to 700p

Since Missing Sync replaces the functionality of the Palm Desktop software
it should not benecessary to install any of the Palm software unless you
want to use the Palm Desktop. Also it should be easy to port the data to the
new PDA and you should be able to use the same user name. All I would do is
intall the Missing Sync software and then sync with your old PDA. After that
make a copy of any data you want to move to the new PDA (just to be safe)
and sync with your new PDA and follow the instructions. This is no different
than doing a hard reset on your Palm. You'll probably have to specify a user
name but if so just use your existing one.

BTW, you might consider using the Missing Sync forums for questions in
future. This list is not being used anymore (AFAIK)
